Support Students Preparing To Launch Their Careers
Alumni News Center
July 3, 2014 - Think back on your time at UNLV. Each day that went by brought you closer to graduation. The pressure grew to choose a career, an industry, an employer, and land your first job.
We as alumni can do a better job of supporting students as they approach graduation. The Rebel Business Network was built on the aspirational goal of alumni helping alumni for business. There's a number of ways you can support students as they launch their careers.
The Office of Career Services invites you to explore these programs:
Become a Mentor
Mentor students and fellow alumni seeking advice on your career field or area of expertise. Signing up to be a mentor is free and you control the maximum number of students who can contact you, information displayed to potential mentees, and your preferred communication method. Learn how to become a volunteer!
Attend the Career Fair
Host an information table and recruit students seeking internships and employment at the Fall Career Fair on Wednesday, Oct. 15. Learn more.
Feature your company in the 2014-15 UNLV Career Handbook - Backpacks to Briefcases! This publication is a training tool used all year by students and staff. It features important information on career development, job searching, resume building, and interview preparation. View the 2013-14 edition of Backpacks to Briefcases!
